Converter Types
- Piston Converters - Utilizes a twisting motion to push air out and then pull the air/ink back when twisting it counter clockwise.
- Squeeze Converters - Utilizes a squeeze mechanism on the bladder to pull ink out from the bottle
Standard vs Proprietary Converters/Cartridges
- Standard International - Standard size that will fit most fountain pens that don't use a proprietary converter/cartridge (ex. Monteverde)
- Proprietary - a converter or cartridge that is brand specific to fit a specific model or brand (ex. Lamy)
