A Montblanc Fountain Pen is designed to pay homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The limited edition Montblanc Writers Edition Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is dedicated to one of the most renowned crime novel writers and creator of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.
The color, made in precious brown lacquer, is a reference to the pipe that Sherlock Holmes smoked, an element that can also be found in the wooden cap and the end. The cap and tank of this edition are decorated with a checkered pattern in reference to Holmes's coat, as well as parts of a historical map of London. The clip is inspired by Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass. Behind the clip hides the silhouette of a hound made of photoluminescent pigments in reference to "The Hound of the Baskervilles", one of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
The cap ring bears the signature of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and the logo of "Study in Scarlet", the first Holmes case. The Montblanc emblem in precious mother-of-pearl crowns the cap of the edition.
