A beautiful pen with a unique "Chirashi" technique that scatters pink and yellow flecks of ebonite across its elegant beige base with a unique design that pays homage to the artistry of the legendary Ukiyoe woodblock print master, Harunobu Suzuki.
The inspiration for this year's Syokei comes from Suzuki's "Tsurebiki," a captivating print that captures the essence of love. Just as Suzuki employed a blend of multiple colors of chalk to create texture and a sense of magic in his artwork, the deliberate layering of colored ebonite in the Syokei produces an intricate texture and a similar enchanting effect. It's a remarkable fusion of craftsmanship and creativity, echoing the artist's unique approach to neutral colors.
