Around the World in Eighty Days is the famous adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne, published in 1872. In the story, Phileas Fogg, a wealthy British gentleman, and his newly employed French valet, Passepartout, attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club. The Journey departs from London by train at 8:45 p.m. on 2 October, via Suez, Bombay, Hong Kong, Yokohama, San Francisco, New York and it must finish at the club by this same time on 21 December, 80 days later. The caps feature the majestic elephant Kiouni who travels with Mr Fogg and Passepartout through the jungles of India and guides him to meet his love Princess Aouda.
